Choctaw SDA Church

Hello and Welcome to our Page!

We just wanted to let you know that we have implemented our Covid-19 Policy with our congregation. Please note, that we are doing all we can to keep our church family safe and not to create fear. Here are a few things you can expect when coming to Choctaw SDA Church:

What you can expect is to find someone greeting you at the door; masks will be available if you do not have your own; and we will have signs on the door that help explain a little bit more.  In addition, we will share additional information during the church service.

During the time of mask mandate, we will use the west entrance (double-glass doors) as our primary entrance for all prayer meetings, services, etc. (All other entrances will have signs pointing to the west entrance). Per Choctaw city ordinance, all persons entering 10 years and older are required to wear a face covering while indoors for all Choctaw meetings and fellowship. Sign on front door will display this. Per Choctaw city ordinance, “Face Covering” means a covering that fully covers a person’s nose and mouth and fits snugly beneath chin. Per Choctaw city ordinance, any person presenting from the platform or in a class setting need not wear a face covering when social distancing is being maintained. This city ordinance will remain in effect from October 6 to December 6. A greeter will provide a bulletin, hand-sanitizer and make masks available for those who do not have one. If person wishes not to wear a mask, greeter will inform them of our online service and ask for them to worship with us at home. We encourage families to sit together for the purpose of minimizing contact between congregants. Offering will be collected at the end of each service after the benediction as members exit the sanctuary. Potlucks will be postponed until further notice.

We are doing this so that we can remain safe as a church family. This is not out of fear or out of anxiety for what’s going on in the world. We trust God and we believe that He is in control!

In the meantime, remember to stay in contact with your church family and please call or text them regularly during this time. It is our job as Christians to uplift each other and lessen each other’s burdens. This is the perfect opportunity to make time for each other and pray with one another.

Remember you can pay your tithes and offerings in person at the end of the service or though the "Online Giving" page here on the web page or mail them to the church treasurer for those unable to give online or attend in person.

Please check back for updates.

Thank you so very much for your continued prayers for the safety of our church and wisdom for the leadership team.  We look forward to seeing you this week.
